The Future of Diversity Holiday Market Returns on December 7 — And We’re Honored to Be There

In early December, Osteria La Spiga will once again transform its warm, historic space on Capitol Hill into a flourishing site of cultural exchange. The restaurant’s 5th annual Future of Diversity Holiday Market brings together chefs, artisans, vintners, bakers, creators, and community-builders from across Seattle’s Black, Indigenous, and POC communities.

We at The Bajan Station are proud to be among this year’s participating vendors.

Curated by Sabrina Tinsley, co-owner of Osteria La Spiga, the Future of Diversity initiative elevates local businesses by offering them a platform inside one of Seattle’s most beloved Italian restaurants. Tinsley’s vision is unmistakably communal: a place where culinary knowledge, craft traditions, diasporic creativity, and intergenerational stories can circulate freely.

A Marketplace Built Around Community

The Holiday Market gathers more than twenty BIPOC-led vendors, each bringing their own heritage, techniques, and culinary or craft traditions into the room. Visitors can expect an abundant spectrum of offerings, from street food and spices to wellness products, jewelry, candles, beverages, holiday gifts, and small-batch creations rarely encountered elsewhere.

This year’s vendor roster includes:

Aya Jewelry Design, La Dispensa, Umami Kushi, Nelly’s African Kitchen, Blk Pepper, FleurSana Apothecary, Noir Lux Candle Co., Verdunville Kitchen, Queen Sugar Baking Company, Masakan, Soul Sweet Sweetener, Mason’s Cheesecake Co., Karachi Kitchen, Afella Jollof Catering, Rice Beans and Happiness, Tidelands, Nacho Mama’s Fried Bread Café, YES MA! Backyard Farm, Anh Oi Bake Shop, KHOBO Jerky, Sun Yum LLC, Vitality Threads LLC, Mvinyo Winery, Lux Libations, and many others.

And of course: The Bajan Station LLC.
